[Video Post] Second Flower - Alone is Different

[The screen flickers on, a red brown wolf who had been in front of the camera jumps back surprised then sniffs at the lens curiously, tail wagging. A paw taps at the lens, making the camera shake slighlty and the doggish-wolf whines at it. Getting no response, Toboe sits down in front of the camera, the silver bracelets on his right paw clink together and glint in the sun. ]

I spent the night in the forest. It's not like I imagined it would be. It was different when Tsume, Hige and Kiba were with me. It didn't feel as scary.
Dark forests are kind of spooky when you're alone. I think I'm just going to lay here until they find me. Maybe if I call they'll hear me but I got into trouble last time I howled in the city.

[The wolf lets out a heavy sigh and lays down on some kind of back alley pavement, watching the camera as his ears swivel around at the city noises in the background. Glancing from side to side the wolf lifts his head and lets out a searching howl. ]

You're... a nice dog, then...? [smiles and bends down to pet the dog's head, scratching a little behind the ears] I wonder if you have a family... [bends closer, not finding a collar or anything to identify it beyond-] What pretty bracelets you have...!

[leans into the scratching and whines slightly, looking up pathetically]

[that's the sort of face that would make anyone crumble] D-Don't worry...! I can... um... [he stops the pets for a second to look around, not really knowing what he's looking for, then smiles at the poor pooch, returning his hand to ruffle the soft fur and scratch more behind those adorable ears] Do you... want me to help you find your way home, doggy...?

[nudges and licks the hand, laying down and closing his eyes. He plans on waiting here for them to show up at least until dark]

[gives him one last pet before kneeling down, almost sitting upon the ground, speaking in a soothing voice] I wonder where I'm supposed to go to report a lost dog... [laughs to himself, going back to stroking his head gently] You probably don't know, either...

[rests his head on the stranger's leg and yawns, looking up at him with another tail wag]

[freaks out for a moment, not really sure if this is a good thing since it's getting dark and he needs to not be in the dark because bad people could take him because this is obviously not Riga and there are probably bad people everywhere] U-Um...? [pets him a little, going through his options before speaking to the dog once again] I... I need to go back to the hotel, doggy... Estonia is probably wondering where I am, a-and... [bites his lip, chewing it a little; there's no way this dog understands him, but he doesn't really want to leave it all alone]

[gets to his feet and nudges his shoulder with his head, wagging his tail happily and tilting his head again. The wolf tugs lightly on the material of his shirt, trying to pull him back up to a standing position]

[does as told, er, tugged and lifts himself up, somewhat confused as to what the dog actually wants, but stands up and brushes himself off a little] Do you... want to come with me...? I don't really know if pets are allowed, b-but... [but if he does get stopped, he can ask that person what to do about a lost dog, right?]

[nudges him a little further and goes back to sit down, watching the nice person, he's still being stubborn about staying put for his pack to find him. If they don't he'll take matters into his own paws tomorrow. He gives as much of a smile as a wolf can manage and lays back down with a yawn]

Oh... [he looks a little sad, but walks back over to the dog for one last scratch behind the ears] W-Well... if you think you'll be safe out here, then... [he feels super bad for the dog, but if he doesn't want to follow, then there's nothing he can do]
