Seeking Out Paradise

[Toboe is coming through at top speeds, leaping through intersections, dashing down alleyways, through streets, over fences, occasionally dashing up the wall to get over busy sidewalk spots. Whatever he is doing at the moment, he's doing it as fast as his four legs will take him.]

[If you don't move out of the way, prepare to be run into. This wolf is in a very big hurry to get out of here.]

Well, I would complain about this happening on a school day, because this is not my idea of fun to sit in class hearing the same lectures again and again.

But at least this time I knew the answers before the teachers asked the questions.

Hey Matthew! I'm heading into the forest to take care of some lizard problems and find some things for Sheska. Do you want to come with me? I have some lunch we could share. 

I swear...I had a tail... just a second ago. It was right there. Why can't I find it? I need to catch it. Where did it go?

Sheska. the floor. the floor is made of flowers. It's so nice. I think I'm going to sleep here.

[Toboe sits just outside the Travel Agency, watching the crowds of people walking to and fro in the city. Every now and then he gets to his feet, tail wagging as someone notices him on their way, but with a pat or a wave they're gone and he is back to sitting again, watching. The many new smells hit his nose with each person. Different worlds, different smells, new faces. It's all a thrill and an exciting new adventure.

And somewhere, buried in his fur, a small glimmer of hope tries to find those familiar smells among the sea of Desai citizens and newcomers.]

Does anyone want to go to the flower shop with me? I am thinking of starting a garden. I really want to be able to smell their wonderful scents any chance I can.

This weather is so warm. We should go to the beach. I want to play in the water. It's hard to get cool around here but it's better than freezing to death! 



Someone explain to me why anyone would think fur coats were a good idea? Let me tell you, they are miserably hot..

The weather is so nice and the food you pick always smells good. We should invite Sheska, too! I know she talked to me about picnics before.




...Does anyone know a good pet store for dog supplies? I have a friend who has a dog and he ...his dog... needs a new collar... and some tags... and maybe one of those handy things with pockets in it that ... the dog can wear? So he can carry things. Like a key. Or food.
